It may confuse you a bit, but it’s all part of the charm of this place. Get classic drinks like a gin and tonic or a mojito for $5 during happy hour, or beers like Miller Lite or Stella for $3, which runs from 5PM to 8PM. Come back for trivia night every Wednesday, or ‘90s music night on Thursdays.

No gathering in Miami would be complete without a trip to the legendary Twist. This place has been around for almost 20 years. There are seven bars on two floors, but start at the Tiki Bungalow bar or the Main Room, which has music blasting for the speakers for you to get down to the whole night. You could even check out the Garden Area on Sunday nights, where you get the chance to compete in the underwear contest for a cash prize of $100.

H.G Roosters

H.G Roosters is a great neighborhood bar, and it’s even better if you love karaoke (which happens nightly). On Sundays you’ll find a barbecue on the patio starting at 5pm, then male dancers at 6pm. On Mondays there’s drag queen bingo, and on Saturdays you’ll find talent showcases. Get buckets of domestic beers like Miller Lite or Budweiser for only $7, and $3 Long Island Ice Teas on Saturdays.

Stiff drinks for $4, eye candy, and a friendly and spacious environment for people to enjoy the leather scene is what Ramrod offers. The dance floor will have like-minded people looking for a good time, and the DJ will definitely make that happen.

J’s Bar

2780 Davie Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

The clientele at J’s Bar is so varied you probably won’t even notice it’s a gay bar initially. The entertainment ranges from  karaoke and the occasional live band on Thursdays to spoken word poetry on Fridays. There are also darts and plenty of pool tables to keep you entertained.

G Spot Bar
