Looking for the best breweries in Los Angeles, CA? The brewery selection in LA is massive, so much so that taking the choice of going to just one might seem difficult. The good news is that there’s really no wrong decision here. All the breweries on this list have something for everyone. For example: You can head to Arts District Brewing Co., Boomtown Brewery, or Button Mash to get your game on and keep yourself entertained while you drink. But if it’s food you’re looking for, you have to try Beachwood Brewing & BBQ instead. Take a look at SELECT’s list and see which of the best breweries in Los Angeles, California is right for you and your squad. You’re guaranteed to have a good time while trying out some West Coast brews.

Beachwood Brewing & BBQ 210 E 3rd St, Long Beach Beachwood Brewing has delectable food and delectable brew. If you like bitters, you have to try the Hops of Brixton. The menu also boasts a solid range of IPAs, like the Amalgamator or the Strange Haze, and flavored stouts like Coconudder or Vanilla Fudge. Try the baby back ribs or pulled pork for a truly savory meal.
Arts District Brewing Co. 828 Traction Ave Not only are there more than a dozen beers on tap at Arts District Brewing Co., but they’re separated into categories like Belgian-Esque, Lighter, Hoppy, and On The Darker Side. But there are also fun games like skeeball and arcade games to keep you entertained all night.
Monkish Brewing Co. 20311 S Western Ave, Torrance Monkish Brewing Co. specializes in Belgian beers. Options range from hibiscus like the Feminist, or DIPAs such as Foggy Window. If you’re really looking for something strong, opt for the Anomaly, which is a deep dark ale. The four tokens given to you at the brewery allows you entrance to the tasting room to sample the wares.
Eagle Rock Brewery 3056 Roswell St If you’re a newb on the brewery scene, Eagle Rock is a great place to start. The tours are informative, and there’s even free ones on Sundays. If you love IPA, try the Populist, or go for the German pilsner Umlaut. There’s also tons of events going on here — one of the more popular ones being the Women’s Beer Forum, where you can sample and discuss beers on the third Wednesday of each month.
Ohana Brewing Co. 7 S 1st St, Alhambra This quaint brewery is family-owned; it’s located in a Downtown warehouse. There are few beers on tap, all unique, dinstinct from what you’ll find at other breweries. The ingredients rotate frequently and the brew is an experimental take on what Ohana can do with stuff like cucumber, coffee, and kumquat. Try the Saison Miel, which is infused with honey.
Boomtown Brewery 700 Jackson St. Boomtown Brewery specializes in small-batch and artisan ales. The on-site taproom has choices ranging from the Bad Hombre Mexican lager to the Crunchy Lime Skies hoppy saison. If you’re looking for an IPA that packs a punch, the Slump Buster is arguably one of the best in the city. Grab your brew and try a hand at some on-premises shuffleboard.
Firestone Walker 3205 Washington Blvd, Marina Del Rey The location right by the beach is what makes Firestone Walker such a winner. The space is roomy, ideal for large groups (but get there early enough to snag a table). Try the Parabola Imperial Stout, or something like the Luponic Distortion, from the rotating hop series.
Mumford Brewing 416 Boyd St, Los Angeles Mumford Brewing is laid-back, the place where you go to grab a mid-afternoon drink. All the beers have unique names, like the Money Money Money helles lager or the Up and At Them IPA. Mumford serves small snacks like pretzels; however, they do kindly allow you to order in from nearby restaurants, so you can customize your brewery experience to your liking with some eats from the local scene.
Mega Bodega 1001 S Broadway Mega Bodega is part coffee shop, part brewery and all good time. You can come early to get some espresso or au lait and pair it with bites such as a turkey avocado sandwich or churro toast. Then you can stay late for the brews. Try the Founder Porter, and be sure to come by on Thursday nights, when you can get $5 drafts and $3 cans until 7.
Button Mash 1391 Sunset Blvd Pinball, anyone? Get your game on with a vintage arcade selectin at Button Mash. The beer list rotates frequently, so the selection is always sure to be new and exciting, like Anchor Steam Beer or a Shiner Bock Tall Boy. Plus, you can play all the Mortal Kombat your heart desires while snacking on some tasty nibbles, like shrimp toast or the Korean spicy pork belly sandwich.
