LaB Coffee and Roasters

LaB stands for “Los Angeles Barista Academy.” It’s a training spot for aspiring baristas, but also houses a café. Many come to this Koreatown cafe to get some studying done as well as to drink some quality coffee.

Located in downtown LA, Urth Caffe boasts a selection of organic coffees and teas. They source local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. There’s a wide range of fruit teas, matcha, black teas, and coffee to imbibe as you soak up the atmosphere here as well.

Bar Nine

3515 Helms Ave, Culver City

Bar Nine’s coffee is sourced from Panama and Ethiopia. Its beans are “true seed-to-cup integration, and help to improve the ecology and practices from where we purchase,” their website says. Customer favorites include the iced chai and cold brew.

Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea

Intelligentsia began in Chicago in 1995, and has since expanded across the country. Stop into the LA location for an open-air coffee experience and for a wide variety of coffee and tea selections.

Go Get Em Tiger

Some of the more interesting choices on Go Get Em Tiger’s menu include a turmeric almond macadamia latte and the business & pleasure. There’s also an enticing food menu and a range of teas and sodas to sip on too.

Menotti’s Coffee Stop

56 Windward Ave, Venice

Menotti’s tops most lists of essential coffee bars, which isn’t surprising, given some of its online reviews. It offers all the essentials one could want, like espresso and lattes, as well. If you happen to be at a nearby music festival, keep your eyes peeled for its mobile coffee truck to boot.

Dinosaur Coffee
