Name Location Description
Southern Grist Brewing Company 1201 Porter Rd

Three friends bonded over their passion for craft beer and, thus, Southern Grist Brewing Company was born. They pride themselves on innovation and unique flavors, believing that beer making is an art. Their selection of what’s on tap changes often, too, so check the schedule to see what they’re pouring now.
Tennessee Brew Works 809 Ewing Ave

A  brewery, taproom, and hoppin’ venue for live music all in one, Tennessee Brew Works offers tours, events, and light snacks. And beer, of course. Their tap changes frequently, but a tried-and-true fave is the Basil Ryman, with its sultry pepper and fennel flavors.
Yazoo Brewing Company 910 Division St

Tour the 40-barrel brewhouse to discover the story of Yazoo Brewing. This company has undergone some changes since they opened their doors in 2003. What hasn’t changed over the years is their delicious, citrusy Pale Ale and  rich Dos Perros malt.
Czann’s Brewing Company 505 Lea Ave

Czann’s strives to strike a balance between hoppy bitterness and malt flavor in their craft selections by adding German and American hop varieties in each brew. Nothing creates this balance better than their American Blonde, in which five malts keep the beer dry and light. The brewery is on the smaller scale, but that just makes the tasting a more intimate experience.
New Heights Brewing Company 928 5th Ave S

In addition to their unique selection of beers (Berry Fancy Blueberry Cream Ale, anyone?), New Heights Brewing also offers a variety of gourmet Mac and Cheeses. Comfort food and beer here we come. New Heights also hosts a number of events, including concerts, trivia nights, and comedy shows to tempt you.
Bearded Iris Brewing 101 Van Buren St Bearded Iris brews IPAs that will  intrigue and delight any beer connoisseur. They use Old World techniques to bring you classic brews with simple, powerful flavors. See what’s on tap here. The space is more salon than saloon: A place where you and your fellow beer connoisseurs can discuss, and opine, on what brews you like best and why.
Smith and Lentz Brewing 903 Main St No matter when you visit Smith and Lentz, they’ll always have a new selection for you to sample. Try any of its dozen beers, all brewed locally varying from IPAs to stouts. Smith and Lentz has a fun atmosphere, too, with its open mic comedy nights on Wednesdays and the monthly Brew and View film screenings.
Jackalope Brewing Company 701 8th Ave S

Jackalope Brewery was founded by two women who had a passion for, as they put it, the interesting and the intoxicating. Opening its doors in 2011, the taproom has four year-round beers available, with one seasonal offering thrown into the mix. (The evergreen Thunder Ann pale ale is a fan fave.) They host daily tours, as well as weekly trivia and music nights throughout the year.
Fat Bottom Brewing Co. 800 44th Ave N

Known for its year-round ales, Fat Bottom has expanded its brewery offerings to draft and sour and barrel-aged beers of late. It also recently moved to a much bigger space, which now hosts a taproom, restaurant, private event space, and a shop, so you can bring home some of those tasty brews you just sampled.
The Black Abbey Brewing Company 2952 Sidco Dr Both in name and practice, The Black Abbey embodies tradition. The name is inspired by Martin Luther and his wife Katherina, a refugee nun with a brewing license. How’s that for history? The Black Abbey applies 600 years of brewing tradition to six year-round beers, as well as its five seasonals, three barrel-aged brews and a number of limited-release beers, for a truly old world taste.
