Hallmark Kaleidoscope

Hallmark Kaleidoscope is, at its very core, imagination run wild. The center was created as a haven for young kids to get lost in a world in which they create the story. Arts and crafts sessions abound using leftover materials by Hallmark, against a colorful backdrop reminiscent of a children’s storybook.             

LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Any kid who doesn’t like LEGO will change their mind with a single trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Center. The ultimate indoor playground boasts rides, Build and Play zones and a 4D cinema this is one of the best places to take kids in Kansas City any time of the year. Kids ages 3 to 10 are welcome to build whatever they want from an inventory of millions of individual LEGO blocks.

Kansas City Zoo

Not only do they put on fantastic and entertaining puppet shows, but they offer kids the opportunity to make their own. They’ll even have the option of putting on a show with guidance from instruction workshops.

Kansas City Royals

Head out to the old ball game and watch the 2015 World Series champions, the Kansas City Royals, dominate. There’s nothing like a dog and a soda (or cold beer for the adults) while sitting in the bleachers of Kaufmann Stadium (or, as it’s called, The K).

Sea Life

Toy and Miniature Museum

This fascinating site boasts one of the largest collections of antique toys in the country, not to mention the largest collection of modern miniatures in the world. Fun for kids and adults alike, there are hands-on exhibits to engage in. Keep an eye out for the nine-foot tall dollhouse.
