Case in point: The walls are covered top-to-bottom with more than 2,000 bottles of top-notch liquor. Hungry? You can also enjoy small dishes here like seared scallops or larger entrees like ribeye. With a 2AM closing time on weekdays (3AM on weekends), you can really make a night of it here.
The Hamilton 600 14th St. NW Situated just a hop, skip and a jump from the White House, The Hamilton hosts late-night eating and drinking in polished and glittering surroundings. Open until 2AM all week long, the combination restaurant, lounge, and concert venue carries a late-night menu that’s been designed with the night owl in mind. Order from the list of munchies if you just want a snack like tater tots or charcuterie, though there’s plenty in terms of sushi, crab cakes, and milkshakes to take in as well.  
Old Ebbitt Grill 675 15th St. NW Old Ebbitt Grill is steeped in DC history as the oldest saloon in the area. (It opened its doors in 1856.) Stop in for the oyster happy hour twice daily, including half off oysters from 3PM to 6PM and 11PM to closing. This storied restaurant’s late night menu offers everything from burgers to crab cakes, pasta, and chicken.       
Horace & Dickie’s Seafood 6912 4th St.NW Horace and Dickie’s is the spot for fried seafood. Full-size dishes come with two sides ranging from baked macaroni and cheese to collard greens, candied yams, hush puppies and more, all designed to make sure you leave on a full stomach.
The Tombs 1226 36th St. NW Located in a converted townhouse from the 1800s, The Tombs is a fine place to watch a game or to knock back a few with your buddies. Located near Georgetown University, this hangout keeps its doors open late to cater to the after-hours crowd. Its late-night menu is surprisingly affordable, and includes comfort food like pizza, nachos, chicken fingers, and burgers.
The Diner 2453 18th St. When you think of late-night eats, you think of greasy spoons, right? The Diner aims to deliver. Here, you can choose from an all-day breakfast menu or a variety of common comfort foods. Alcohol is also served until last call, which often occurs around 1:30AM.       
The Passenger 1539 7th St. NW This popular bar stays true to its title by placing you in the passenger seat of a great night. Open until 2AM or 3AM depending on what night you’re on-site, you’ll find plenty in the way of drinks and small bites to be had here. There are two levels, allowing you to venture upstairs for live music or DJs cutting up some of your favorite songs.
Yechon 4121 Hummer Rd., Annandale If you’re looking for some of the best Asian food you’ve had at any hour of the day, you’ll have to venture west to Annandale. There, you’ll find Yechon, which is a 24-hour restaurant with some of the most incredible-tasting Korean barbecue to be had in the city. The place is constantly bustling, with generous portion sizes so big that you’ll want to share them with friends. Craving Japanese? The venue also boasts a great sushi bar and select dishes to meet your cravings.    
New Big Wong 610 H St. NW There’s nothing quite like Chinese food to satiate those late-night cravings. This popular pitstop, situated near the Verizon Center, can help provide Cantonese and Szechuan-style dishes as late as 4AM all week long. Pair the black pepper short ribs with roast pork fried rice and a beer to end the night on the right note.
Madam’s Organ Blues Bar 2461 18th St NW The entrance to popular bar and live music spot Madam’s Organ is one of the most unique exteriors you’ll see in the district, or anywhere in the nation, for that matter. When you see the “Sorry, We’re Open” sign, you know you’ve arrived. Known for its blues music and soul food, you can groove as late as 3AM if you so desire.
