Name Location Description
Hoy Como Ayer 2212 SW 8th St At Hoy Como Ayer you won’t be able to sit still for 10 minutes without having the urge to dance. So get up and get down. Seriously. The live music here goes on every night, and past visits include stop-ins from legends like Tito Puente and Celia Cruz. The mojitos are authentically Cuban, and the shrimp cocktail and tortillas will keep you muy contento y muy caliente well into the night.
The Playwright 1265 Washington Ave The Playwright is indisputably Irish: With a mahogany bar and tables, and pictures of famous Irishmen like James Joyce, W.B Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, and Oscar Wilde on the wall, you’ll feel like you’re in a genuine Dublin pub. The menu has all the pub-grub classics, too, like shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fish and chips, on top of the brisket burger and the rib-eye steak. There’s $6 wine on Wednesdays, pitchers of Coors Lite and Sam Adams for $12 and $13, respectively, and all the Guinness you can handle on top of the fully stocked bar.
Club Space 34 NE 11th St If you come here, get ready to watch the sunrise. This late-night spot recently celebrated its 15-year anniversary and it’s still going strong. There’s a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the view, and the loud — very loud — music includes the handiwork of top-notch techno DJs ready to help you pull an all-nighter. Most offerings require tickets, which run between $10 and $20 – you can purchase them online.
E11even 29 NE 11th St E11even is open 24/7, and it showcases topless entertainers, go-go dancers, and acrobats, so you  can indulge in the best in adult entertainment here. If you want to party like a celebrity like Jamie Foxx (who spent his birthday here) then opt for the VIP package. You get: A private entrance, private room, high-end appointments, and giant TV screens. Luckily, the menu is 24 hours too, so you can eat your fill of California rolls, caesar salad, shrimp tacos, and Sobe wraps here as well.
Mynt Lounge 1921 Collins Ave Mynt’s reputation for attracting celebrities and Miami elite is well-founded, so turn the charm on to get in. When you do get in, The Grand Lounge will amaze you. It’s got a 40-foot bar, and the DJs play mostly hip-hop. Special guests such as Nick Cannon, Black Chyna, and Axel and Hugo are set to appear in the near future, but the most unique part here is that the air is always infused with some sort of scent. The most popular, of course, is mint — dance the night away, or until you can’t feel your feet.
Jazid 1342 Washington Ave Put on your best outfit, head to the bar, order a classic like a Martini in a highball glass, kick back, and enjoy the music. There’s two floors to take in and the first one is a bit more chill. You’ll enjoy live jazz, with styles ranging from classic to acid. If this isn’t your scene, head to the second floor, where the DJs spin up more of a dance party. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a giant statue of Buddha looking after you.
Wet Willie’s 760 Ocean Dr Wet Willie’s is all about frozen daiquiris, but don’t order one if you’re expecting something light. Even their most popular other drink lives up to its name: Call A Cab. Then there’s the Bahama Mama and a Monkey Shine. You could slow down with a White Russian, but you’ll find that they all pack a powerful punch. Teetotalers can go with Weak Willie. Afterward, head to the second-floor patio for views of the ocean. They just can’t be beat.
Purdy Lounge 1811 Purdy Ave If you get tired of the scene on Ocean Drive, Purdy’s is just the thing. For a lounge in South Beach, the drinks are reasonable and the people are relaxed. The easy atmosphere is set with lava lamps and funky chairs, reminiscent of a 1980s rec-room. Ladies can come here on Thursdays after 11 for free drinks and to dance as the DJs spin sweet sets of ‘90s hip-hop.
The Corner 1035 N Miami Ave During the day, this hidden storefront looks like another place. At night, it comes to life with hipsters, tourists, and everyone in-between – all of whom are looking for a good time. In terms of food, you’re likely get grilled cheese sandwiches and empanadas, but the specialty cocktails like Pisco Punch and Sidecar really liven up the mix. The Corner stays open until 8AM, and provides a helluva good time almost all the time.
Abbey Brewing Co. 1115-1117 16th St While a healthy percentage of Miami’s late-night spots are clubs and lounges, Abbey Brewing Co. is 100% bar. As in 100%. This is a great place to grab a seat and enjoy a couple of drinks. Beers include the Immaculate IPA and the Father Theodore Stout; the selection will leave even the best connoisseurs impressed. It’s open until 5am, so the conversation will last until the sun comes up, probably with some classic rock playing in the background — stay as long as you like.
